What changed
Every release, in the words the update prompt uses. Current version: 1.3.1.
1.3.1 13 September 2026
- Fixed an update that downloaded and then refused to install.
- The recording is compressed while it is still being made, and the connection is opened while you are still speaking — the text lands sooner after you release the key.
- Silence at the ends of a dictation is no longer sent anywhere.
- Cancelling a subscription keeps the application; only the cloud plan ends.
1.3.0 12 September 2026
- Your clipboard is put back after a dictation is pasted.
- Buy from the app and get activated without typing a licence key.
- A forgotten recording stops after a minute without a voice.
- Launch at startup stays off until you turn it on.
- A volume slider for the recording sounds.
- The recording window can be dragged anywhere, and has a mini style.
1.2.9 8 September 2026
- Click a word in History to play the recording from there, and see how long the model took versus the network.
- Post-processing can use what you just copied as background, and never pastes it into your words.
- A refused licence key no longer blocks the free minutes, and the engine is checked before the microphone opens.
- The logo redrawn in one ink, and a light theme.
- The dictation history lives in its own file, not in the settings.
- An update installs only when everything in it is signed by a publisher this build trusts.
- Dictations are kept out of the clipboard history, and nothing is pasted that was not put on the clipboard.
- Keys are never written to disk in the clear.
1.2.7 5 September 2026
- Parakeet: a faster and more accurate offline model, now the default.
- See what changed before an update, and choose when to install it.
1.2.6 5 September 2026
- A free-tier recording stops where the balance ends, and is still transcribed.
Versions before 1.2.6 were internal builds. Updates arrive on their own: the app shows what changed and asks before installing, or applies them on exit if you tell it to.
