End User License Agreement

This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and Kazkai IT AB ("we," "us"), the developer of VoxDrot ("the Software"). By installing or using the Software, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.

1. License grant

Upon purchase of a license, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to install and use the Software on up to 3 devices that you own or control. The license is tied to your license key, not to an account.

2. What you may not do

• Share, resell, sublicense, or publish your license key.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
• Use the Software to violate any law or the rights of others.
• Circumvent license validation or usage metering.

3. Cloud transcription hours

Each license includes 5 hours of cloud transcription. Additional hours can be purchased in packs. Hours are metered in seconds of actual audio processed, are tied to your license key, and do not expire. Hours are consumed only by cloud mode; the local engine is free and unlimited.

4. Updates

Your license includes all future updates of the Software. We may add, change, or remove features in updates. We are not obligated to maintain compatibility with any particular third-party service.

5. Third-party services and BYOK

Cloud mode and AI post-processing rely on third-party providers. If you use your own API key (OpenAI, Groq, or xAI), your use of that provider is governed by the provider's own terms, and charges from the provider are your responsibility. Your key is stored encrypted on your device and is never sent to our servers.

6. Ownership

The Software is licensed, not sold. We retain all rights, title, and interest in the Software. Text you produce with the Software is yours.

7. Warranty disclaimer

The Software is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. Speech recognition and AI post-processing are probabilistic; we do not warrant that output will be accurate or fit for any particular purpose. You are responsible for reviewing text before relying on it.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability under this Agreement is limited to the amount you paid for the Software. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Termination

This Agreement terminates automatically if you materially breach it. Upon termination you must stop using the Software and delete all copies. Sections 6–8 survive termination.

10. Governing law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected.
